Integrative Ayurveda
Practitioner Certification
A comprehensive 18 month training in Ayurveda, Polyvagal Theory, and neuroscience for practitioners ready to work at the root of nervous system healing, beginning with their own.
Train to Become a Confident,
Multidimensional Ayurvedic Nervous System Practitioner
The Integrative Ayurveda Practitioner Certification is an 18 month-long, online training that brings together three things most programs keep separate: the ancient science of Ayurveda, modern nervous system science and Polyvagal Theory, and a full spectrum of somatic and healing modalities.
At its center is the AyurSomatic Method™ Mel's trauma-sensitive framework for assessing, regulating, and supporting clients across body, mind, and nervous system. It's the structure that turns everything you learn into real, repeatable client work.
It's designed for heart-led practitioners, coaches, healers, yoga teachers, bodyworkers, and aspiring practitioners, who want to stop working at the surface and start guiding genuine, whole-person transformation. You'll deepen your own embodiment first, then learn to hold that same depth for the people you serve.
By the end, you won't just have new tools, you'll also have a complete system for working with your clients + students with confidence.
Does this resonate with you?
You have multiple certifications, Yoga, breath-work, or have worked in the wellness space for a while but if you’re being honest…
Even though you have multiple certifications, you still struggle with imposter syndrome and wonder whether you know enough or not.
You second-guess how to support clients when they come to you with anxiety, burnout, or hormonal imbalances.
You feel overwhelmed by all the conflicting wellness wisdom out there, and struggle to discern what is supportive for which client.
You’re tired of surface-level wellness that doesn’t touch the root cause
You love the idea of a “mind-body-spirit” approach to wellness - this resonates in your being but you have no idea where to begin.
If you’re nodding yes to any of this… you’re in the right place.

What makes this Certification different?
Other trainings teach modalities; we teach integration.
The Integrative Ayurveda Practitioner Certification combines ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern nervous system science through my proprietary AyurSomatic Method™ - a clear, step-by-step framework that helps you assess, map, and support any client across mind, body, and spirit.
No more guessing what to recommend
No more piecing together random protocols
No more imposter syndrome
You’ll learn a truly multidimensional approach to nervous system healing
At the heart of this certification are two powerful sciences that form your base framework:
Ayurveda and Polyvagal Theory.
Together, they give you the map to understand how the mind, body, and nervous system interact, bridging ancient self-healing wisdom with modern neuroscience.
From this foundation, you’ll learn to integrate a full spectrum of modalities of transformation that bring theory
into embodied practice.
This is where ancient wisdom meets evidence-based tools and where you become the kind of practitioner who can confidently support every dimension of your clients’ healing.
Ayurveda
You will learn the original science of self-healing: Ayurveda. Coming away with a deep understanding of the doshas, dhatus, agni, and rhythms that shape the mind-body connection.
You’ll understand how to personalize healing through diet, routine, and energetics, helping clients come back into alignment with nature and themselves.
Neuroscience
You will become fluent in the language of the nervous system, exploring the physiology of safety, regulation, and trauma, understanding how the vagus nerve, brain, and body communicate.
This becomes your roadmap for guiding clients toward grounded resilience and true balance.
Together, Ayurveda, Neuroscience and Polyvagal Theory form the foundation and framework for everything that follows giving you the ability to customize and personalize client healing on a truly multidimensional and bio-individual level.
You’ll also master 6+ potent healing modalities
Breath + Pranayama
Harness the nervous system–regulating power of pranayama and modern breathwork. Learn how to assess patterns, use breath to shift states, and guide practices safely and therapeutically.
Meditation + Mindfulness
Study multiple meditation styles through both Ayurvedic and scientific lenses. From mantra to mindfulness to Yoga Nidra, you’ll understand how each practice influences the mind, doshas, and vagal tone.
Nutrition
Bridge Ayurveda and modern nutrition science to create individualized nourishment plans that truly support the nervous system. You’ll explore rasa, virya, vipaka, macronutrients, digestion, blood sugar, and the energetics of food.
Movement + Somatics
Learn to use movement as medicine, from grounding, embodied somatic practices to nervous system–calming flow.
You’ll understand posture, interoception, and how to release stored tension through the body safely and intelligently.
Subtle Healing Therapies
Go beyond the physical to work with energy, sound, and consciousness. You’ll explore mantra, the gunas, and energetic awareness practices that help shift deep emotional and subtle layers.
Biohacking + Modern Tools
Integrate the best of modern science and technology, from breath and HRV tracking to circadian alignment and nervous-system-friendly habits, all through an Ayurvedic and Polyvagal lens.
Finally, you’ll learn to bring it all together with our integrative methodology…
Ayur+
Somatic
Method
A complete framework for nervous-system-informed Ayurvedic healing
Most Ayurvedic training stops at diet, lifestyle, and herbs. Most somatic training never adresses constitution or bio-individuality. The AyurSomatic Method™ bridges them together using a trauma-sensitive process that lets you meet a client where their body actually is, not where a protocol says it should be.
Its guiding principle is regulation before optimization. A nervous system has to feel safe before deeper healing can take hold so the work is body-first, client-led, and designed to expand capacity gently rather than dig into trauma. (Which is exactly what keeps it safely within your scope as a practitioner.)
In practice, it's a two-part process. Every client begins with a complete Integrative Ayurveda Intake, uncovering constitution, imbalance, digestion, vitality, nervous system, and lifestyle so you see the whole person first. From there, you guide them through ongoing AyurSomatic™ Coaching Sessions, built on the five phases below.
The 5 Phases of the AyurSomatic Method
1. Resourcing & Safety: You help the client build nervous system stability and find grounding that works for their constitution. Nothing moves forward until there's safety.
2. Tracking Nervous System States: They learn to recognize their own patterns — fight/flight, freeze, or connection — and how their dosha shapes the way they move through stress.
3. Regulation & Release: Using somatic and Ayurvedic tools matched to their imbalance, you create gentle openings for stored stress to discharge and balance to return.
4. Expanding Capacity: Through safe, titrated micro-exposure, you widen their window of tolerance and reduce reactivity — resilience without overwhelm.
5. Embodiment & Integration: You help them sustain it through daily rituals, so balance becomes self-led and lasting, long after your sessions end.
This is the missing link in modern Ayurveda-based coaching: not more protocols, but the ability to regulate, expand, and embody. By the time you graduate, it won't be something you reference, it will be the way you naturally work.

In practice, that means you'll be equipped to:

Guide meditation and breathwork in both group and individual settings safely, and within a trauma-sensitive scope.
Lead workshops, groups, retreats, and educational seminars on Ayurveda, stress and burnout, nervous system regulation, and AyurSomatic living.
Integrate this work into your existing practice as a yoga teacher, coach, bodyworker, or wellness professional.
NOTE: To see clients 1:1 or run your own offerings, you'll want appropriate professional insurance for your jurisdiction which we'll guide you on inside the program.
An important note on the trauma-sensitive approach: the AyurSomatic Method™ is intentionally designed to create safety and gently expand capacity — not to process or treat trauma. This is what keeps the work both deeply effective and clearly within the scope of a coach or wellness practitioner. You're guiding regulation and education, not providing psychotherapy or medical treatment.
What this certification is not
This is not a medical or psychotherapy qualification. As an Integrative Ayurveda Practitioner, you educate, coach, and guide — you don't diagnose disease, prescribe or adjust medication, treat clinical mental health conditions, or replace a client's licensed healthcare providers. Part of the training is learning precisely where your scope ends and how to refer out with confidence when something falls outside it. Far from limiting you, that clarity is what lets you work with depth and integrity.
